No longer impossible to find - our 'sheddist' style clutch kit is available to buy off the shelf.  It perfectly replaces the poor OEM system with a high quality and durable system that allows you control the biting point - you no longer need to bury your foot through the floor to change gears! 

We have made several improvements over the original 'Sheddist' kit based on feedback from sheddist customers.

Fits all MG Rover 45 and ZS petrol cars fitted with the PG1 gear box (1.8L k-series and 2.5L KV6).

11/8/2014 Andrew B. Excellent kit - recommended! On my ZS 180, I had both a cracked slave cylinder and a cracked bracket. I e-mailed Dark Ice on a Sunday afternoon and got an immediate reply. I bought the kit which was delivered within 24 hours. The kit fits perfectly, is well made and works superbly. Dark Ice (Kristian) responds quickly to questions and is a pleasure to deal with.

One word of advice - don't overlook the engine earth connection. It's not obvious and I hadn't noticed that it was there when I removed the original slave cylinder bracket. The result - the car wouldn't start! It took ages to find the earth cable under the battery tray. I know the instructions specifically mention this cable, but you have to know it's there to remember to reconnect it!

I would wholeheartedly recommend this kit to anyone. You get metal cylinders, braided hose and a bleed facility, all of which are so lacking on the original offering. The kit is well made, contains absolutely everything you need and is supplied by a responsive supplier who is easy to contact and a pleasure to do business with!
12/7/2013 Philip W. So far so good... Replaced the original OEM "about to die" clutch master/slave to this one, the original master cylinder was a nightmare to remove due to the original bracket seizing so was unable to twist 1/4 of a turn and pull out normally and couldn't unscrew the clevis either...

The components and kit included in this "Sheddist" style are clearly far superior to the OEM.... VERY solid slave bracket that actually bolts to the slave cylinder ... The whole assembly was very easy to install.. Highly recommended so far, and using the clutch is as smooth as butter now... Many thanks to Dark Ice Designs...
